fmck22 retrieved JadedRed from Ogre and Thurgartstane. "This poor TB has been sat in a cache for about 3 months so I thought it was about time I moved him along. I don't think I will take him far but maybe someone else will pick him up a bit faster."

JadedWhite visits Archangel Raphael

MKW placed JadedWhite in St. Raphael / Teleport USA + Schweiz near Dusseldorf/

The Archangel Raphael is inter alia the patron saint of travelers, pilgrims and emigrants. Here you can find in his protection TB hotel, churches, picnic area and cache, all in one.

The Catholic parish of St. Gabriel in Delrath, 1955 from the mother parish in Nievenheim removed, had for the construction of the tank and snap position well with a morning Nievenheim country. The sale proceeds as well as numerous donations made it possible that here the foundation of the first motorway chapel was laid in the Rhineland. The inauguration took place on 2 July 1976.

(Yes, Google Translate leaves alot to be desired (or understood!))

Juli 1976.

JadedBlue Memory Stick Contents

The contents of JadedBlue's memory Stick, kindly sent on by a GeoCacher:-

Hi

We are the Stag Ramblers. Why? Because we own a Triumph Stag (1972) and we enjoy rambling.

Now we have a purpose in rambling in our hunt for Tupperware and we are amazed and delighted by some of the beautiful and interesting places Geocaching has taken us to and the ingenious ideas other cachers have for their hides and themes and now a new idea for a travel bug – well done.

Busy Building – Jaded Blue's home from July 5th to 14th 2008.

The field to the south-east of the path is now a building site – the reason for the name of the cache, I presume, but the path is a pleasant bit of the countryside left behind – so far.

OldNickCov 15 July 2008

Brilliant idea using a flash drive to collect info and images. Good luck to Jaded Blue on his travels.

Just missed a trip to Morocco with our son Nick who is an ardent geocacher

Will place Jaded Blue in Yorkshire on the 21/2/2009 while we are at the Slaithwaite Lantern Festival – Raking the Moon!!!

Good Luck

JadedBlue finds some "acoustic mirrors" near Marsden

Evansmob placed JadedBlue in Colne Valley Listeners.

As part of the River Colne Project, two acoustic mirrors were installed here in November 2008. These "acoustic mirrors" are curved dishes fashioned in aluminium: one dish eavesdrops on walkers as they approach from the picnic site and the other listens out towards the trees and across the valley.

Red Ogre

rscosworth placed JadedRed in Ogre and Thurgartstane.

The Thurgartstane is a "glacial erratic". It is composed of blue augitic porphyrite. This rock is different than the 'native' stone of the area. The Thurgartstane weighs about 25 tons and the part above ground is about twelve feet by eight feet. The site is listed and protected by Scottish Heritage.

JadedWhite moves to Blois in France

Hinny placed it in Under the watchtower

The geocache is not very far from the "King François the 1st" alley going straight into the forest from the castle of Blois. It was used by the Ladies of the "court" to follow the king's hunts.

During World War II, the german troup used the forest to hide their ammunitions depots and built "miradors" to overlook the vicinity. One of them, made of concrete, is still watching over the young trees and over the "treasure" hidden below.
